How old is your son? He has to be 16 or younger as of 12/31/20 to qualify you for the payments. If he is and no one else claimed him on a 2020 tax return, you can file a 2020 tax return and include him as a dependent. You don't need to report your disability income if that is your only income.

You just need to file a tax return using TurboTax and indicate that you support your son and answer the questions to see if he qualifies as your dependent.

You would be entitled to $1,200 of stimulus money for each taxpayer listed on your return plus $500 for each dependent under the age of 17 for the first round, and $600 for each person I just mentioned for the second round of stimulus payments.

When you prepared your tax return with TurboTax, you were asked to entered how much of the stimulus money you actually received. The balance would be refunded to you. It is possible that you entered the wrong amount of money you received when you completed your tax return, and that would result in your refund being adjusted.

The only other likely possibility would be that a stimulus payment was sent to you that you haven't received yet or didn't receive. In that case, you will have to contact the IRS and inquire about your missing stimulus payments.
