A payroll service overpaid my wife's disability benefit because Social Security kicked in. We had to pay them back. The W-2 reflects the total amount paid, including the overpayment. The payroll service says they do not issue corrected W-2's. Can I deduct the amount we paid them back from the w-2? If so can I still e-file? How do I let the IRS know what I am doing?

Thank you
