What line is my income tax paid on the 1040 for 2020?

I don't want the number for my taxable income...I'm trying to find out the number for how much income tax I paid in 2020.

Income tax is shown on line 16 of Form 1040.

Your total tax is shown on line 24 of Form 1040.

Total tax would include income tax, alternative minimum tax, excess advance premium tax credit repayment, self-employment tax, plus other less common taxes.

Thank you! So if a form is asking for U.S. income tax paid, would that be line 16 or 24?

U.S. Income tax paid is shown on line 24 of the 1040. It shows all the tax due, including the self-employment tax.
