Form 8886 is not supported by TurboTax. If form 8886 is needed, you will need to print and mail the 1040 as well as the form. Additionally, if this is the first year you are filing 8886, an exact copy must be sent to:

Internal Revenue Service

OTSA Mail Stop 4915

1973 Rulon White Blvd.

Ogden, Utah 84201

Or FAX a copy to 844-253-2553

So any form that is not supported by turbotax can no longer be attached? So I have to print out everything, including the unsupported form and mail it all in? This seems like a step backward in technology, not to mention the waste of paper and time. And furthermore, do I trust that the mail will deliver it? I have used turbo tax since 1996! Can't believe I have to go backwards... help me understand!

If the form is not supported by TurboTax, then yes it will need to be mailed.

If you are unsure of mailing it, you can always get tracking regarding the envelope from the post office upon mailing it. @amelliott
