community property adjustment

Every year, I manually divide community property between my spouse and I as I fill in the forms and show the division on IRS form 8958. This year turbotax has a new section where it asks me for community property adjustments after I have already added all the manually divided information. Two questions:

1) what calculations/changes does turbotax do with this information?

2) Can I just skip this and fill out the 8958 manually?

You should be able to fill out the form manually.

TurboTax may be offering guidance, but only you would be able to determine what income goes to whom.

If you know what your doing and don't need the prompts, you can skip the interview.
