2020 home and buisness returns error message after trying to extract. sorry but you system doesnt meet the minimum requirements. memory (2048mb).

i tried on two laptops, both have 2g ram. so that requirnment is meet. one runs win8 the other win10. both same error. this download executable file purchased thru amazon. call turbo tech suport they could not resolwve.

not resolved, cannot download because this was not a cd and turbo tax download center repeats "woops e hit a snag" everytime i put the key number in. why i turbo tax making downloading software so difficult, you cant file without it

What help article? I am having the same issue. My system has 6GB of RAM and the installer says the system doesn't meet the system requirements.

You may need to clear the cache and delete the cookies on your computer, open a new browser, sign back into your account and try registering again.

So my computer has 6GB of RAM and turbo tax is detecting that it doesn't met system requirements. It is running windows 8.1 and meets all other system requirements.

From looking around the internet it seems this maybe a problem for several of your customers.

Is there a solution other than one that is a general step by step guide that you regurgitate to every problem?

the issue is the turbo tax installation package. it should not be rejecting install if insuffient requirenments. ask the tech team to modifiy the package. If it finds insufficient requirements it should ask you if you wish to continue not prevent you. All machines have the requirements I had no problem using this machine for the last three years with TurboTax went 2gig RAM was required so please have your software technicians fix this before April please

Same issue. Meets system requirements (2GB Memory). Cannot install and causing major issues. Have referenced and troubleshot FAQ and support articles posted. No known solution.

Says my notebook doesn’t meet minimum requirements

Memory (2048MB)

Notebook has 2GB of RAM with 1.86 usable

I used this same notebook last year although it was the Premiere version, no problem. This year Deluxe

Bought thru Amazon, should I just contest the charge since I never activated ?

Any rec’s for my situation Block or TaxAct ? I want something that pulls info from brokers

@Bang4dabuck Please take note of these Windows Requirements:

Processor: Pentium 4 or Athlon or later

Hard Drive Space

2020: 1 GB for TurboTax (plus up to 4.5 GB for Microsoft .NET 4.5.2 if not already installed)

Please don't overlook the processor requirement and the 4.5 GB for the Microsoft .NET. These 2 reasons are, most likely, why your computer is not compatible.

Pretty sure that for those that are having problems with 2 GB RAM that is exactly the problem. They should not state 2 GB of RAM or more but simply more than 2GB, 2.048 to be exact. I was told to use the online version available on Intuit website. Missed it by that much ... and it SUCKS and a big waste of time
