    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am going to reply to my own message as I figured it out!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since the IRS now allows up to $300 for charitable contributions, it added that in.&amp;nbsp; My standard deduction plus that $300 coincidently equaled my itemized deductions.&amp;nbsp; I can now see why Turbo Tax told me to take the standard.&amp;nbsp; That makes sense.&amp;nbsp; Turbo Tax is smart. &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My Itemized Deductions were $300 higher than the standard deduction but Turbo Tax said to take Standard.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do not understand why.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are no medical expenses in my itemized.&lt;BR /&gt;Property taxes were just $3000&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did not exceed anything.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
