The underpayment penalty is calculated if you do not have enough withheld in income taxes throughout the year as you earn your income.

I would recommend following the instructions in the link below to ensure Form 2210 in included in your tax return.

This will then carry over to your Form 1040 and be included in your tax return when you file.
