1040-ES mailing address

I have lived in California for many (40) years. My 1040-ES payments have been mailed to San Francisco. Why has the 2020 TurboTax Premier directed me to mail my 1040-ES payments across the country to Cincinnati, Ohio? It is not logical to send it so far away - both because it takes longer and there is a greater chance of my payment getting lost along the way.

I live in Texas and I send my 1040-ES to Charlette NC.

TurboTax follows the guidelines of the IRS on where to send your 1040-ES. Per the IRS website, you would send your estimated tax payments to the following address:

Internal Revenue Service
P O Box 802502
Cincinnati, OH
45280-2502
