When will Form 8938 be updated for the 2020 return? The IRS website has the revised form posted. I cannot file my taxes electronically until Turbo Tax updates this form

Form 8938 is expected to be available sometime on 2/25/2021. We have to wait for the IRS to finalize the form and give us permission to update our software before we are allowed to have our customers e-file it.

Check the forms availability to see any updates to that date.

Use Form 8938 to report your specified foreign financial assets if the total value of all the specified foreign financial assets in which you have an interest is more than the appropriate reporting threshold. See Types of Reporting Thresholds, page 3..
