In the desktop editions you can have regular phone support with a customer service agent. That is not the same as the Live TurboTax feature.

The TurboTax Live feature with on-demand help from a CPA/EA tax pro during tax preparation and a review of the tax return, etc. is an add-on feature of Online TurboTax only.

What is it about the 1099-R you need help with, and we can either assist you in this community forum or offer another way?

And are you using Online TurboTax or desktop software? If Online TurboTax, what edition--Free, Deluxe, Premier, etc.
