To revisit these questions in TurboTax to determine if you qualify for Head of Household, please complete the following steps:

Sign in to your TurboTax account (if you're not already signed in).
Click on Take me to my return button
Click on the My Info tab (on the left menu bar) and then select Edit next to your name or dependents.

After you continue answering the Interview questions about yourself and your dependents, we'll let you know if your situation qualifies for Head of Household.

You would qualify for Head of Household if you meet the following requirements below:

You are unmarried or considered unmarried on the last day of the year.
You paid more than half the cost of keeping up a home for the year.
A qualifying person, child or relative that lived with you in the home for more than half the year. However, if the qualifying person is your dependent parent, he or she doesn't have to live with you.
