my 1099 from wealthfront is available and I generated an app generated password to import my data. I copy my app generated password in windows 10 and try to paste with cntl-v. Nothing happens. Right clicking on the password box does not give me anything like a right click menu with a paste option. I believe this is a bug. please advise. I do not have 2FA turned on in wealthfront. I can copy the password to a word document so it is on the clipboard.

Are you using Turbo Tax Online or Turbo Tax Desktop?

Also which browser are you using if on online, and is it Windows or Mac operated?

desktop turbotax on a windows 10 operating system. I tried all three browsers (firefox, chrome and edge) to copy the app generated password from the wealthfront website to the desktop copy of turbotax.

the app generated password is being copied to the clipboard as I was able to paste it into

a word document.

I had the same problem. I typed the app-generated password into turbo tax and it worked fine. It was frustrating typing the password because of the length and not being able to view what I had entered.

I believe this problem has been around for a while; I remember it from previous versions - at least from last year, for sure. I believe I installed some complicated third-party clipboard manager that somehow worked, but I don't remember now what it was.

This is just another example of Intuit's lack of concern for its users. A strong password is very hard to enter, as it has a mix of upper/lower case, numbers, and punctuation characters that are hard to enter even when you can see what you're entering. So, you definitely need to write it down; in that case, why hide it on the screen if it needs to be visible elsewhere? And why not allow it to be pasted in the first place?

Come on Intuit, stop aggravating your customers. Sooner or later, someone is going to come along with an easier to use program that can import your information, and I for one will switch in a minute.
