Missing Option under custody/depenents?

I am going through my taxes using Turbotax Deluxe 2020. I split custody of my child (I am head of household) but my co-parent has her as a dependent this year per our custody agreement.

In previous years of Turbotax, after stating I have a custody agreement, there is a question asking "Is the Other Parent Claiming Your Child This Year". That seems to be missing in the 2020 version.

I need my child listed not as a dependent but with a status of "EIC or Care Credit Only" like in past years.

Is this a bug? Can this be fixed?

No. Nothing has changed.

After answering that you have an agreement, the next screen that pops up is:

Is Bobby's other parent claiming Bobby per your legal agreement? Answer "YES"

When asked if you pay more than half of his support, answer "NO".

These answers will make him a non-dependent.

That screen does not pop up for me. It automatically adds her as a dependent.

Follow the directions screen by screen as below (I apologize as I am not able to "snip" the pictures into this document):

On the "You and Your Family" screen;

1. "Do you have children of financially support another person" - CLICK ON YES, click

continue

2. "Tell us about your child" - Then you will be prompted to provide info about this person,

as well as as well as selecting your relationship to the child, then whether or not the

child was adopted or foster - check applicable box, then click continue,

3. Then, "Tell us a bit more about ____(name of child as you indicated on previous

screen)____" and answer the questions as they should be, then click continue

4. "Did __(name)__ pay for more than half of his/her living expenses?" and answer NO,

then continue,

5. Then, "Do you have a custody agreement" will appear - you answer YES, because

you stated that you do, then continue

6. Then it will tell you the "good news"

The question now asks if I provided more than half the support in 2020 to my child

Yes, I paid for more than half her support last year

No, I didn't pay for more than half of her support last year.

If I answer Yes, then she is counted as a dependent.

If I answer No, then it asks questions about how she is supported. It Does Not ask the question about if there is an agreement for the non-custodial parent to claim this person.

Yes, there is a question that asks this. In the My Info section of your return, You may have not reached it because of the answers you gave to the previous questions. it is difficult to speculate why the screen isn't showing up in your return. For an example, if you are filing jointly and your spouse is not the parent of your daughter, make sure you didn't indicate that both of you were parents.

Go back and review each entry you made regarding your daughter in the MY INFO section and make sure that all the questions are answered correctly If they are, you should reach a screen that looks like this.
