TurboTax is a do-it-yourself tax preparation software. Unless you want to pay extra to have someone assist you with the tax return or pay even more to complete and file tax return for you.

You go through the questions and enter all your info and income you got. Turbo Tax fills out the 1040 return and any other forms or schedules you need. Turbo Tax calculates the tax on your income and any credits you qualify for. Then you either efile your return or you can print and mail it to the IRS.

It did most of the work for me all I had to do was enter in my information and my source of income and turbo tax did the rest I was claimed as a dependent so I'm claiming 1800 if I did a 1040 form because I get SSI benefits
