Same here. When I enter that he did not receive a second stimulus check..it adds it to his tax refund even though he passed in April 2020 and is not untitled to the second check. Is this a defect in Turbo Tax?

My Father received the first stimulus payment as a debit card after he passed away in May 2020. Per the IRS guidelines I returned the card to the IRS. In starting his 2020 return with TurboTax, I get asked the question if he received a stimulus payment and when I answer no, TurboTax generates a Federal refund for the amount of the payment. I entered that he was deceased and gave the date in his Personal Information. Seems to me this is either an error or I am doing something wrong?
