Yes, somehow the entire question didn't post. I paid a non employee for contract labor and gave him a 1099-nec. Do I need to to anything else other than file my tax forms by april 15?

How did you prepare the 1099NEC to give him? Did you also file it to the IRS with a 1096 Transmittal? Or did you use online Quick Employer Forms and efile it to the IRS?

You will need to manually add it as contact Labor on your schedule C in your personal tax return.

Log into your account

Scroll down to Your Account and click on Show

Click on Create W-2s and 1099s
