I am trying to upload my w2 but its taking too long to scan for viruses

Please log completely out of TurboTax, then try clearing out your browser's cache and delete the cookies stored on your computer. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly.

If i were me--before I would spend the morning fighting the technology -- I would just key the W-2 in if I had it in hand. It takes about a minute or two.

I spent a long time "fixing" errors to no resolve. The Loop was discouraging. The problem was with the wage differences on boxes

Box 1 Wages, tips, other compensation Box 3 Social security wages Box 5 Medicare wages and tips

Box 1 Amount had 401k contributions deducted from it
Boxes 3 & 5, wages for calculation SocialSecurity & Medicare does not deduct any after tax contributions
