Turbotax Home & Business 2020, MAC Catalina 10.15.7, needs VPN to work, hangs otherwise

Hi,

I installed Turbotax Home & Business 2020 on my MAC running OS Catalina 10.15.7, and I find that it hangs unless I connect via VPN to my work. If I am *not* on VPN then TT hangs when looking for updates, hangs trying to download the State forms, hangs for every button click in TT. However all other apps, browsers, etc. run fine with great speed.; it's only TT that hangs for any/all operations. However the second that I connect via VPN to my company TT runs perfectly fine - it immediately checks & gets updates, downloads state forms, all TT buttons/operations run fine. If I switch off VPN then TT hangs again. So it looks like I need to be on VPN to my company to be able to run TT. Could you please let me know why that is? I would need to run TT without VPN-ing to my company.

Update: Resolved with 3 reboots!
