I did my taxes on April 8, 2020. I paid thru my mastercard ending in 0726. I paid 69.00. It was prepared using TurboTax Deluxe, Electronic filing included. My refund was 315. I haven't gotten anything. I mailed it just in case too. Needing info as to why I have not gotten anything yet. Thank you and hope to hear back soon.

@hussy711 You e-filed it AND mailed it? That might be one of the reasons you are still waiting. The IRS gets confused when you send in your tax return twice and it can lead to delays. There are already a lot of delays due to the pandemic. Going forward--do not do that. Either e-file it OR mail it--not both.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To call the IRS:IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.

@hussy711 When you efiled in April was it Accepted? Did you go all the way through the File tab, through the 3 steps and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button?

When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile.

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. What does it say?

I have had 5 rejects from irs refund all relating to 2019 taxes. Not filed with turbo,but by AARP. So now why?

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
