What year? A 2019 return? Without paying what? The Turbo Tax fees or a tax due?

Sorry 2019 is closed for online and Efiling. 2019 is now the prior year. And You are too late to use the free service.

You now have to print and mail prior year returns. Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here,

You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on.

A 2020 tax return cannot be completed and e-filed at this time. E-filing will not begin until January 2021.

There is no need to pay for the online edition until you are ready to e-file or print the tax return. The TurboTax software has not been finalized with all the required IRS Forms and Schedules for tax year 2020.
