How do I edit my 1098-T information?

My 1098-T shows that I received $6,150 in scholarships/grants for 2019. However, when I put that information into TurboTax it is computing that I received $12,300, which I did not. It wont let me fix it. How do I update my 1098-T information?

Look for the Edit or Update button

I've clicked the update button several times, but it does not allow me to change my 1098-T information.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to the section you want to change; probably, Scholarships/Grants in your case. Be sure you didn't enter the $6150 again there. It only needs to be entered once (at the 1098-T screen).

To edit the 1098-T, click edit under Tuition/(School name) at the “Here’s your Education Summary” screen.

Worst case: At the "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click Delete next to the student's name and start over.
