There is also a Desktop CD/Download program that you buy and install on a full Windows or Mac computer. The online versions have not opened yet for 2020. Online will open in December.

TurboTax has two products: the CD/download version that is installed on a Mac or Windows computer that has more features then then online version and a preliminary version of that is available now (not all forms will be released by the IRS until January or later so it will requires updates prior to filing); and the online version that can be run with any compatible browser which will be available sometime in December.
