You have to print, sign, date and mail the federal tax return to the IRS and the State tax return to the State. The Filing Instructions page for each tax return will print out with the tax return with information on what needs to be mailed and the address for where to mail. You must include with each tax return the Form W-2 and/or Form 1099 that have taxes withheld on the form.

Why did they reject? Maybe we can help you fix it and resend it. A common reason is for the wrong AGI.

If your spouse died during 2019 there is a problem efiling and you will have to mail your return

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
