To access your current or prior year tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

For a fee of $50 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

No you cannot email the returns or tax files to yourself. But you can save them as pdf's and/or print them out for yourself.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

the direct answer is you can't unless you used the desktop version and save the return as a pdf. then you could email the pdf copy anywhere you want. it should be in a password protected file. and then a second e-mail to the recipient with the password. this is how many professional tax prep firms handle returns when they need the taxpayer to ok it for filing and he's not available. for example I work in an eastern state but have clients on the West Coast.
