topic I'm an International Student, can I generate my federal returns through Sprintax(1040NREZ, 8843) and my State Returns through TurboTax and submit them separately? in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I'm a Non Resident Alien for tax purposes. Can I generate my federal returns through Sprintax and my State Returns through TurboTax and submit them to their respective mailboxes? I ask this because I know TurboTax doesn't support 1040NR and 1040NR-EZ, Form 8843, etc. but since the State Tax procedures have a different concept of Resident/NonResident, I'm guessing it should be fine if I were to use TurboTax for generating my State Tax returns. Please correct me if I'm wrong and why.

No, you cannot do that. TurboTax cannot be used to prepare "stand alone" state returns. Information flows from the federal return to the state return in this software, and you cannot prepare a federal return using TurboTax.
