Are you saying you'd like to ask for a service code instead of paying, or is the program asking for a service code? Or are you confusing that with some other type of code, such as an email verification code prior to efiling (a code sent to your email)?

A service code (used to pay the TurboTax fees) is provided by Customer Support for specific indications, normally when a problem cannot be resolved by another method. It's not provided on-demand just to avoid paying fees.

What issue are you having that you feel would require a service code to resolve? We can tell you how to phone Customer Support, if necessary.

Please explain your situation. What product are you using? Online TurboTax or desktop software (CD/download)?

If desktop software, are you asking about the license activation code at the end of the installation process?

In the Online product, no service code is required. A service code in an Online product is a problem resolution provided by TurboTax Support in certain cases.

I already paid for my copy at costco, I should not have to pay again so I can complete my completed taxes.

Did you buy the CD or download Desktop program? But used the online version instead? You can't apply the Desktop purchase to the online version. Or are you asking about the $25 to efile a state return from the Desktop program?

if you used online by accident we can tell you how to switch to the Desktop program.

I think I bought the disk at Costco and downloaded the program but used the online copy, not sure.
