I want to pay one estimated tax payment later in the year, let say September for example. How can I edit the 1040-ES form to enter the amount that I plan to pay and remove the quarterly amount that automatically was generated when the return was saved and filed?

You can just mark through the number that was entered by TurboTax and hand write the amount you are actually paying. Or you can use IRS direct pay and make an estimated payment without any form. Here is how to access IRS direct pay: https://www.irs.gov/payments/direct-pay

Thank you. FYI - I did find a work around by using the edit function in Adobe Acobat. You can override the amount shown and enter a new amount.
