It wouldn't be unusual, in fact it's quite likely you would owe the state.

The total of your state withholding on ALL of them must cover the state taxes owed for ALL of your income.

A short-term job employer might not withhold any, or only a low amount of state income taxes if the job is short-term, because each employer will not be taking your income from the other jobs into consideration when they set your state withholding level. SO, if you take multiple W-2 jobs during the year, you will have to remember to submit a W-4 form with zero for it's allowances, so that the employer withholds more state income taxes.

BUT...4 W-2 forms? Really? Why?

IF one employer sent you multiple copies...there are usually extra paper forms for the state(s) involved...but they still go on only one W-2 in the software (or if one is a corrected form W-2C, the corrections go onto the one W-2 in the software and there is a checkbox to check to indicate it is corrected.

The reason I have 4 w2's is because one of my jobs switched to a different payroll system halfway thru the year, and the first W2 we received from them did not have everything on it from the old system still.

ahhh..ok, that makes sense.

You just need to know from them whether you are supposed to file both W-2 forms, or whether the final new one has everything on it. only the employer can tell you that.

Already know that, but just found it weird that 3 different jobs could perfectly match what I owed to the State Govt., without me having to pay, or be owed anything.

well...yeah...that could be some problem and would be almost impossible to occur.
Unless.....
1) you are living and working ion a non-income taxing state.
2) it's NC and are looking at display page with a known problem.
3) you had no state withholding on any of them, but your total of all box 1's income was below the state's minimum income, above which they will assess a tax

Otherwise, I'm not sure we can work that out in this type of forum, and it would appear to be wrong.

.........to Call Customer Support and talk to a TTX representative.

A telephone number to call is provided ONLY when they are open.....The current Operation Hours (P.A.C.I.F.I.C time) are listed here:

<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300041">https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300041</a>
