Yes, Uber and Lyft track your mileage. They should have sent you a statement at the end of the year showing your mileage, so that you can enter it in your tax return. Uber calls the statement a Tax Summary; Lyft calls it a Driving Summary.

However, both the Uber and Lyft mileage summaries include personal mileage that is not deductible as a business expense. Uber includes all your mileage while the app is on. Lyft gives you two numbers: in ride miles and out of ride miles. All of the in ride miles is deductible business mileage. The first trip of the day from your home and the last trip back to your home are considered commuting and are not deductible. And of course any personal trips are not deductible. You have to have your own records of commuting and personal mileage that has to be subtracted from what Uber and Lyft report.
