To complete and file a 2018 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2018 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/

A 2018 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

I had finished the 2018 taxes with TT, but did not file. I followed directions and purchased the download. Now, how do I get the 2018 file and transfer it?

Download the tax data file. Then open the data file with the TurboTax software. Click on File at the top left of the desktop program screen. Click on Open Tax Return. Browse to where you downloaded the tax data file.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the 2018 and Click on Download .tax file
