Need to access an unfiled draft of a desktop version of my 2019 return.

Need to access an editable version of an unfiled draft of a desktop version of my 2019 return.

I only have it saved as a pdf and turbo tax will not let me import it.

I was not prompted to save it as any other type of file. Could only save as a pdf.

You have already filed electronically? And do you need to amend?

You need the actual data file ending in .tax2019. It should be in your Documents. Are you on Windows or Mac? Search your whole computer for all files ending in .tax. Check the Recycle Bin. Did you try starting the program and go up to File-Open? You don't import it. You just OPEN it.

If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like "~your name.tax2019". That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.
