Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) not reported on Box 1 of W-2 by employer

I vested and sold my RSU last year, 2019.

On the corresponding pay period, I see that my employer listed the ordinary income as part of my wages.

But then on subsequent pay period, this same amount was removed.

Is there any situation where RSU ordinary income would not be reported on Box 1 of W-2?

maybe the payrioll department messed up. in any event you need to talk to your employer about what happened. without more info we would be guessing
