topic Identity Theft Affidavit in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Last summer my wallet (containing driver's license and credit/debit cards) was stolen. My SSN was NOT in there, fortunately. My cards were used and I know that counts as a form of identity theft. I came across the Identity Theft Affidavit page on TurboTax. Is it necessary for me to fill that out even though my SSN was not stolen? I don't know if thieves have a way of getting to your SSN once they have your DL.

Caution: once you get on the IRS IP PIN list, there's no way off it, as far as I can tell.

You'll need a PIN for the rest of your life.
