I got a email stating that I need to fill out form 8915f and finish but i have already finished my return

If you've already filed the return, let it run its course. If you were allowed to file and it wasn't rejected sit tight and see if there is any other issue.

If you haven't filed your return yet, the 8915F is for a Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distribution and Repayment. If this does NOT apply to you, follow these steps:

Go to Wages & Income

Scroll to the bottom of the section without making any changes.
Click I'll choose what I work on click Done with Income
Continue moving forward until you see a question about whether you took a disaster distribution in 2020 = No

Run the Federal Review again to see if the error has cleared

If you have tried these steps and you did not see a question about the disaster distributions in 2020, then try the steps listed below

Go to Wages & Income

Scroll down to "Retirement Plans and Social Security
Select IRA, 401(K) Pension Plan Withdrawals(1099-R) = Continue (you don't need to add any income forms)
Have you ever taken a disaster distribution before 2021? = Yes
Did either of you take a disaster distribution at any time between 2018 and 2022? = No

You should be able to e-file after answering the two disaster distribution questions in this manner.

If you did make a Disaster Relief withdrawal:

On the menu bar on the left that shows.
1. My Info
2. Federal
3. State
4. Review
5. File
Select Tax Tools
On the drop-down select Tools
There will be 4 green boxes
Select Tax Topics
Type 8915

Complete the interview.
