1116 error - is asking for "Foreign source amount included in dividends" in Box 7d of Form 1099-DIV worksheet. Where can i find this or how can i override this so i can efile. These are small foreign taxes on large mutual funds and these amount have no impact on my 1040.

first the mutual fund show have provided detail so you could enter the foreign source income. however, if they didn't and your total foreign taxes are less than $300 for all filing ststus's other than joint (the $600 for joint) just enter the gross dividends , use various for country, entr the FTC amount and don't link to an 1116.

My foreign taxes were over $6oo. Would this be causing the error? None of my many mutual fund statements show any foreign source income.
