Why does TT keep referring to the community to help with problem? we are looking from the experts who don't seem to have the answers.... If the is the way TT handles problem it does not gives us any confidence that TT will actually or have the ability to back us up with the IRS.

I am sorry you are not getting the answers that you are looking for on the Community Board. On here, we do not have access to your TurboTax account. Providing specific help can sometimes be difficult. If you'd like specific help, you may use our paid service, TurboTax Live.

TurboTax has a 100% Accurate Calculation Guarantee. If you pay an IRS or state penalty or interest because of a TurboTax calculation error, we'll pay you the penalty and interest.

For complete details, see our Intuit Software End User License Agreement (look about 2/3 of the way down the page, under the heading TurboTax Accurate Calculation Guarantee).

You can also read the fine print at the Intuit Software End User License Agreement for TurboTax Desktop Software or the End User License Agreement for TurboTax Online. Enter accurate calculation in the Find feature in your browser (usually listed under Edit) to go to it quickly.

TT will back you up with the IRS if you have paid for Audit Defense. TurboTax also have a Tax Accuracy guarantee in which TurboTax will pay any penalties and interest if it is determined that we made a calculation error.

As Regina said, you can get advice from credentialed tax professionals (Enrolled Agent, CPA, attorney) if you use TurboTax Live, where the agent can actually see your return.

The ability of tax experts in the Community to help you with specific problems is limited because we - for obvious security reasons - can't see your return.

The Community is available to all TurboTax users (and even non-users), especially for the users of the Free Edition who don't pay anything. For obvious reasons, TurboTax cannot provide phone support (like TurboTax Live) for Free Edition customers who don't pay anything to use the software and service.
