According to my Uber Tax Summary, I earned $26,300 driving with Uber Eats in 2019, but I didn't get a 1099-K. The only official tax document I got from Uber was a 1099-Misc, which states I earned only $4,080 ("Nonemployee Compensation"). I'm pretty sure $4,080 is not what I put for my income from UE. Any thoughts?

It doesn't matter that you didn't get a 1099-K form. Use the Uber Tax Summary to enter your income. The Uber tax summary isn’t an official tax document. It’s simply a form that shows your 1099-K and 1099-MISC incomes on one page. It also shows selected expenses you can likely deduct on your Schedule C.

When you earn money from driving for Lyft or Uber, the IRS considers you self-employed. Most people can import their income from Lyft or Uber. If you'd prefer to enter your income manually, we've got instructions on how to do that.

As an Uber, Lyft, or other self-employed driver, you can deduct work-related expenses.
