      <description>&lt;P&gt;The standard deduction for a single taxpayer is $12,200. As your son had gross earnings around $20,000, he would have some taxable income after the standard deduction and some tax liability. And it is normal that he does not receive a refund of ALL&amp;nbsp;his tax withholdings.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Please also note that because he is under 25 and has no dependent, he is not eligible for the Earned income credit.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
