If this is related to the line 7 box Form 8615 calculation, our programming department is in the process of fixing it. The resolution date is expected to be 4/3/2020.

If this is not related to that, I would suggest you consider using TurboTaxLive to file your 2019 taxes. This way you could have one of our tax professionals to review your tax forms to provide any further assistance.

Yes, the issue is with Box 7 in combination with the election to Use Pre-TJCA calculation checkbox. Depending on whether Iit's checked or not, my average tax rate on $100k income goes from 1% to 170%. I'll wait and see if the patch fixes it.

Has this been fixed? I'm preparing my son's return and it doesn't look like the tax calculation makes sense.
