You can file a return using the Married Filing Separately (MFS) status bu printing the return and sending it by mail filling in "NRA" for your spouse's social security number.

A visa is not required to apply for a ITIN, which is required if you prefer to file using the Married Filing Jointly (MFJ) status. The need to file a tax return is sufficient reason to apply for an ITIN. You can find the form, form instructions, and additional information about applying for the ITIN here: About IRS Form W-7.
