Did you receive an email stating that your return was accepted by the IRS? If so, please contact the Internal Revenue Service directly to find out about the delay.

Thanks for your response, but that didn’t answer my question. I asked how to amend my taxes to see if something was wrong?

I’ve received 2 letters from the IRS stating they are reviewing my tax return. I worry something was done incorrectly. Please help.

You only file an amended tax return to correct a known problem in a tax return that was filed and previously accepted by the IRS. Until you receive a response from the IRS there is nothing you need to do at this time.

The fact that the IRS is reviewing your tax return does not indicate that something is wrong. The IRS reviews tax returns for many reasons. If the IRS determines that something is wrong they will notify you and tell you what you need to do.
