There have been no changes to the tax laws. The deadline to file a return has been extended to July 15. If you owe a payment, the deadline to pay has also been extended to July 15. If you are due a refund, you should file as soon as you are able so you can collect your refund.

First, the stimulus package has only passed the Senate; it won't be final till it passes the House and is signed by the President.

As the Senate-passed bill is written, it will NOT affect TY2019 tax filing directly. However, filing your 2019 taxes now may help you get your stimulus check more quickly, especially if you didn't file for 2018 and don't receive Social Security or railroad retirement. Stay tuned for more details.

Yes, I’m curious as well. I used turbo tax debit card and the banking information on my return is attached to that through SBTT

if the IRS doesn't have your checking or savings account number, it just means you'll get a check in the mail....
