If you're asking what happens if you enter awrong account number for Direct Deposit of your refund, the IRS will mail you a check to the address on your tax return.

They won't deposit it to the wrong account if the name(s) don't match.

Upon completing my 2019 tax, I have noticed that my bank account number for 2018 tax refund was incorrect. I have never received an IRS refund check in the mail either. Please advise on best approach to receive 2018 refund. Thank you.

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040
