I forgot to add a W-2 to my taxes... how do I fix it and add it?

WAIT to see what the IRS does. They may add it for you.

You need to amend your tax return for 2019 to add this information. Once your originally filed return has been accepted you can file an amended return.

When you open TurboTax you will see the option to Amend/Change. Click on this option to add the additional information from your W-2.

You will need to print out the return, sign, date and mail it to the IRS and state if your filed a state return. The instructions of where to mail your returns will print out with the amended return.

Amended returns cannot be efiled.

Once you have mailed your amended return the IRS will take 8-16 weeks to processs the information.
