      <description>&lt;P&gt;an explanation.&amp;nbsp; in the summary TT combines federal and state amounts.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;so if you have a $1000 federal refund and owe the state $200, it will show $800 refund.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;the returns themselves are correct.&amp;nbsp; don't like it myself but that's the way TT has been doing it for decades.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
