The EIN number on the W-2 and Name of company do not match at the IRS. I keep getting rejected can anyone please help?

When you entered the EIN did you enter the "-"? The format for an EIN is XX-XXXXXXX. When you enter the EIN do not enter the "-" just enter the numbers. If this does not resolve the issue post a reply for additional help.

This rejection can occur if you mistyped your employer's name or EIN when you manually entered your W-2. It can also happen if your W-2 is incorrect or if your employer's info in the IRS database is wrong.

Here's what to do:

Sign in to your account and select Fix my return.
At the Welcome back to TurboTax message, select Fix it now.
Follow the instructions to fix the error. The employer name and EIN in TurboTax must exactly match the information in boxes b and c on your W-2 form.
When finished, follow the rest of the instructions to re-file your return.
