I downloaded turbotax 19 and entered the license code at the start entering tax info. Now I'm ready to file and it's asking me to pay.

Did you accidentally enter into the Online version? When you filled out your return was there a black column on the left side with the menu items? That was online.

I see people all the time that have bought the CD/Download Desktop Software but then somehow ended up using the Online version and didn't know it. If that happened to you, you can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info. Post back if you need to know how to move it to your Desktop program.

Or is it asking to pay the 19.99 to efile a state return? Or you can print and mail state for free.

I was unable to use CD version as My Mac system could not be updated so I was asked to go to Install TurboTax .com and use the license code that came with Premier CD version and now I am asked to pay again.

If your Mac is too old to use the CD Desktop program then it can't install the download either and you have to use the Online web version.

You can not apply the CD price to online. You need to get a refund for the CD and pay for online separately.
