Why was I charged $19.99 for my CA State return. I purchased the software at Costco which included one (1) State return was included with this software.

The charge is to e-file. If you print and mail in your return there is no charge.

You are correct, the program you purchased at Costco includes one (1) state. That is program that prepares the state return. You could have printed and mailed your state return or no additional charge; however, you chose to e-file your return and agreed to pay $19.99 to do so.

Thanks for the information. It was not clear that I could split Fed/ST and/or snail mail. I may as well do the whole tax return myself and save using TurboTax at all.

Why was he charged $19.99 and I was charged $24.99. I also purchased the program at Costco.

Problem #2. I was charged $24.99 twice. The first submission of my taxes forms failed but I was charged anyways. I never received confirmation you had received and submitted them. Intuit charged $24.99 to my credit card on 4-9-2020.

A week later I realised something was wrong and resubmitted the forms. This time confirmation was received and both IRS and CAFTB took money from my account. Intuit again charged $24.99 to my credit card on 4-16-2020.

I want a refund of $24.99 for the double charge and $5.00 for the overcharge ($24.99 - $19.99).

First of all there was a price increase on March 1. Every year the early discount prices expire. Most of us know to efile state before the price goes up.

If you were charged the 24.99 twice ask for a refund.
