CAL 540 Issue

I just posted this issue but my post does not show. I completed my taxes today but when I tried to transmit the forms an error came up saying: Line 23 on 540 - State wages from FED return W2 box 16 do not match. Line 23 has a 0 entered and there is no W2 in my Federal return.

There is a possibility that you may have started a W-2 accidentally and never finished it. This can create the error. Here's how to delete a W-2 that was accidentally started:

To delete a form that came in the mail (for example, W-2, 1098, or 1099) it's best to do it from that form's summary screen. Search for the form number (for example, W-2) and select the Jump to link in the search results to get to the summary screen. Once on the summary screen, check very closely for any accidental inputs.

Same problem, Im a 1099 employee and have no W2 but turbo tax insists that I enter a w2 amount!

Oh, and I'm not a new member, I've been using turbo tax for years.
